[PHD Worldwide] “We Are The Future” was originally created for an industry conference and as a promotional video to stimulate discussion on what the media landscape could be like in ten years based on what we are seeing now.

It was created by media agency PHD and has already racked up over 120,000 views on YouTube. The reaction was somewhat vicious, to say the least, prompting PHD to respond. According to them, it was “originally created for an industry conference and as a promotional video to stimulate discussion within the marketing industry”. Whatever. Here’s what Stephen Fry thinks…

“I do agree that they are annoying little “creatures”, but at the same time the central message of the video is very important… your firm’s social media strategy has to be a lot more than just a twitter account and a facebook page. That might have been cutting edge 5 years ago, but things have now moved on.”
